As part of the « Hergé year » that celebrates the century of the « Tinitin and Milou » creator birthday, André SOUPART issues two series of limited edition portfolios of his exclusive photography’s of “ Hergé as art collector.”

In 1973, for an only and unique occasion, Hergé accepted to be photographed at home surrounded by the art works from his private collection
that was composed by paintings of American Pop Art artists (Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselman) and also David Hockney, Kenneth Nollant, Poliakoff, Fontana, Tsoclis, Karel Appel, Cobra group and African or Egyptian art works.

Additionally, Hergé is photographed in the middle of some representative objects form his cartoons productions.

The two prestigious series that are offered for sale are limited to 12 specimens for the whole world.

  • A series of 6 White and Black photography’s

  • A series of 6 color photography’s.

Each of those signed photography’s (+- 30 x 40 cm) is assembled with a 40 x 50 cm « passe partout » numbered from 1 to 12.

Every series is presented in a 40 x 50 cm hand-made mounted on linen box, numbered from 1 to 12.

Each box contains a handwritten text of André SOUPART, a legend of the photography’s and an authentication certificate.

Photography’s printing, «  passe-partout’s » and boxes are made according to the acid free archiving standards.

Sales prices:

-A Black and White or Color series: 12.000 euros

-Two series: 22.750 euros

  • A very beautiful « portrait » of Hergé with an original plate of « Zig et Puce »,

  • Hergé is presenting a « bas – relief » in « trompe l’œil » of Tsoclis.,

  • Hergé is posing with a long painting Kenneth Nollant in hands

  • Hergé is manipulating his penciled plates of « Tintin among the Picaros »,

  • Hergé mimics a Tintin attitude,

  • Hergé is posing in “a mini virginal forest “  in front of the Chevalier de Haddoque totem

Colored serie :

  • Hergé in front of works of Fontana, de Herbin et de Hockney closed to a Egyptian head from the 18th.dynasty

  • Hergé is posing with a long painting Kenneth Nollant in hands with his cat named Bacchus,

  • Hergé is commenting the Egyptian head in front of a painting of Serge Poliakoff,

  • In front of a nude of Tom Wesselman and a “marine” of Roy Lichtenstein, Hergé is wearing a Stetson, which is a “souvenir” from a travel in USA.

  • Hergé is brandishing the Ottokar’s scepter

  • Hergé is posing surrounded by some emblematic Tintin’s adventures paste-up’s and objects.

The editing is realized upon request. For this reason, there is a one month delivery delay.

Every order becomes effective after receipt of a 50 % partial payment.
